Welcome to the Tipsy Business Podcast, where we have conversations about all things business while we sip our favorite cocktails. I’m Carley, and I’m here to help you grow your business and bank account while living your best life. 

This podcast is made with creative entrepreneurs in mind, specifically those of us that do products. While we’re not all about products, my goal has always been to help product-based businesses simplify their business. With a bachelor's degree in Entrepreneurship and almost 6 years of business ownership under my belt, I’m on a mission to help other entrepreneurs build their dream business. 

As someone who sells wedding invitations as their full-time job, I know that I wish there were more resources for products when I got started. Owning a business is hard, and I'm not here to sugarcoat anything. I want to share with you what I've learned in business school and from my experience as an entrepreneur so that you don't have to make the same mistakes that I did.

In case you don't know who I am, I'm Carley; I'm a dog, mom, wife, wine lover, and serial entrepreneur. I currently own two businesses, and I know that those will not be my last two. My nine to five is working for the business that my mom and I started in 2013 called CZ invitations. We ship high-quality handmade wedding invitations worldwide, and this is where I got a lot of my business knowledge from.

From basically having no business to an overnight success thanks to Pinterest, CZ invitations has been the best learning experience for me and has helped me find that my passion isn't necessarily invitations, but helping other people grow their businesses. In 2019 I started another business with my husband called can, and we do just that.

I help small business owners use Etsy and Pinterest to facilitate growth in their business. I am also a certified Magnetic Coach, certified in Life and Success Coaching, EFT, NLP, and Clinical Hypnosis. So I can't wait to share some of what I've learned there and do some mini-coaching sessions along the way.

While some of you might know me from my love of Pinterest and Etsy, that's not all we're going to cover on this show. Of course, I'm going to be sharing some Pinterest and Etsy knowledge along the way. That's certainly not what we're all about. Those two platforms single-handedly are responsible for taking my business to six figures. Still, I've learned a lot of other business lessons along the way that I'm so excited to share with you from finding my very first client to hiring my first employee to my dream of making $1 million. We're covering all of that and everything you can imagine in between this podcast has been a longtime idea of mine, and now that it's happening, it's honestly really scary. I really want to help everybody, but I also know that my strategies aren't necessarily something you can just copy and paste into any business.

There's a lot of people out there giving advice on podcasts, blogs, all sorts of things, and we all have different, and it usually conflicting ideas. That's not to say that any of them are right or wrong. Only you know what is going to work for your business based on your industry and your definition of success and how you imagine your life.

All I want to do is empower you to take your business to the level that you want, no matter whose advice you're considering. But I hope that my experience, ideas, and suggestions will help you do just that. I am so excited to just have a glass of wine and talk business because those are basically my favorite things.
