How my Etsy made $600+ while on vacation without posting on Instagram

How, why, and what I do instead of Instagram that makes me $$$

How did I make $600 with no work? Simple: I don’t use Instagram to market my products

I have everything on Etsy to set up to sell with zero effort from me.

I got no Etsy messages, either! They see it, they like it, they buy it. My checkout process is easy peasy. Is yours? πŸ‘€

Here’s the breakdown of at where I DO get traffic from ➑️➑️➑️

  • 10% Pinterest

  • 10% Etsy Ads

  • 25% Direct/other

  • 55% Etsy

Why don’t I use Instagram with my Etsy Shop?

I don’t want to. Frankly? I don’t need to. My Etsy just crossed $70k this year and I’ve not posted on Instagram about my products ONCE.

Right now I find it (Instagram) exhausting and I know I am not alone in feeling this way. Why would I exhaust myself when I literally don’t need to at all?

If you’re burnt out on Instagram, you’re not alone. AND, while it’s a great opportunity, it’s not required to grow your business.

The marketing I do rely on? Etsy and Pinterest.

It’s easy to me. Instagram is an amazing marketing opportunity, I use it for my other businesses. But I don’t want/need to use it for my products. I found what works better for me.

MOST of my traffic (55% PLUS the 10% from ads!) comes from Etsy.

Which means the only work is the set-up. There is no ongoing work at all. A HUGE WIN for this multi passionate entrepreneur who’s pregnant and tired!

πŸ‘‰ Quick reminder: if $600 doesn’t feel like a lot…

$300 a day is over $100k a year.

πŸ‘‰ Quick reminder: if $600 feels completely out a reach…

We all started with NO following, no orders, nothing. It might feel out of reach currently, but it doesn’t mean it always will!

How many orders is $300/day?

$300/day might also look like… 9 x $1,000 or $2,100 a week AND!

$100 a day is an extra $36,500 per year.

$50 a day is an extra $18,250 per year.

πŸ’°How much do you need for your next vacation, the clothes in your cart, or next Amazon order? If things feel out of reach, focus on what feels in reach and celebrate hitting that, too!

if you're like me and have your Etsy set up to sell, you just don't need Instagram. πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

I know that Instagram can feel exhausting. And, still, in a lot of ways, it's worth it!

And I also know that all the Instagram marketing in the world can't fix a messy, improperly prepared Etsy shop and a low conversion rate πŸ« πŸ™ƒ

Marketing is the LAST piece that I teach product-based businesses because most small business owners' problems and opportunities to make more money and create more ease in their business have absolutely f*ing nothing to do with marketing.

❗️ If things feel stressful and messy now πŸ‘‰πŸΌ marketing is only going to amplify that.
❗️ If your conversion rate is low πŸ‘‰πŸΌ marketing might not necessarily make it higher; there are missing pieces in your shop.
❗️ If you're getting 1398575 questions πŸ‘‰πŸΌ get ready to double, triple, and quadruple that with marketing because your listings should answer more questions than they create.

So, right now, if you're burned out from Instagram, I see you. I feel it, and I don't even sell my product here!

Hear me when I say that not every opportunity is going to be right for you. And just because it's not right now, doesn't mean it won't be in the future!
