β€œWhen I first joined SFS, I had just pursued my business full-time and was feeling a lot of imposter syndrome. Business was slow because of the pandemic, and I felt lost despite having my business as a side-hustle for almost a decade.

After joining, it really helped me re-frame my mindset and made me feel so validated as a designer and as a solopreneur. I realized that I was focusing on silly things - things that were not only limiting my ability to unlock my own potential, but also things that were actually not that important in the "big picture." SFS gave me the push to do SO many things in my business like relaunch my website even though it wasn't 100% perfect (I was holding back over small details that honestly no one would even notice besides me), create systems to help with my workflow, price my services accordingly, gave me practical tips overall for selling to my clients, etc.

The results have been AMAZING. I know weddings are back full force now that the pandemic has calmed down, but the way I think about my business now was definitely influenced by taking this course. In just a few short months,

I have essentially surpassed all of my income goals and I am on track for actually reaching... six figures! WOOT!

Module ONE: MINDSET, YOUR VALUES, AND YOUR BRAND:

Start by identifying and shifting your limiting beliefs about where you're at, your business, and where you want to go. Your business is only as successful as you believe that it will be.

Learn how to use your personality and values in your brand and business as a superpower. There's a difference between being professional and being legit. You don't have to show up perfectly online and pretend to be something you're not, but you do have to make your business legit.

Module TWO: YOUR BUSINESS. YOUR POLICIES.

You're the boss, start acting like it! Learn how to set a schedule that works for you and how to take control of your business. From boundaries to policies to contracts, make sure you're covered and setting the right tone with your clients. Do you know how to lay down the law in your business to attract the right people who respect you and your policies and can't wait to work with you?

Module three: MARKETING & CONSULTATIONS

You can't grow your business without clients. Learn the different ways you can reach clients, plus we'll cover hot topics like if you should use resources like The Knot and Wedding Wire, Influencers, and planners.

Plus: Consultations? Love them? Hate them? We understand both sides. we'll talk about ditching them altogether and, on the flip side, how to master them to book clients and by asking the right questions.

Module Four: WORKING WITH CLIENTS (INSPIRATION TO ISSUES)

Design Difficulties, Invitation Issues, and copycats. We've been there. From being threatened with lawsuits to threatening with lawsuits (YIKES), we've seen it all. What happens when things get serious, how to protect yourself, and how to avoid situations like this, we'll chat about it. Please note, this is not legal advice as we are not lawyers, but from one business owner to another, we can help you set boundaries and expectations to help.

On a lighter note, we'll also talk about inspiration! Where to find it, how to channel it, all that good stuff.

Module Five: CUSTOM VS. SEMI-CUSTOM

How to start a semi-custom line and how to find your unique custom style. It doesn't matter which you do now; we'll talk about the pros, cons, and comparisons for both. Are you currently offering the type of invitations that support your dream life and business, financial goals, and that fulfill you the most? We'll find out together! We’re asking the hard questions about your goals to help you evaluate what you really should be doing.

Module six: PRICING AND SELLING

A hot topic. Are you charging enough? Do you know how to explain your prices in a way that makes people want to buy? Do you know how to get the clients to spend more with an easy upsetting tactic?

Most business women struggle with selling. We get it, we've been there. But it doesn't have to be this way, and it doesn't have to be hard. We'll show you what could be possible when you break through your limiting beliefs that hold you back from selling. If you can't sell, you can't make money. If you can't make money, your business isn't going to hit or sustain 6-figures.

Module seven: PROCESSES, HACKS, AND MAKING IT EASY

Are you overcomplicating things in your business? Our processes have changed a TON since we started these businesses. We're sharing our very different processes, all our hacks to save time and make your life easier. From handling leads to ordering paper, to make sure you're profiting on these orders, we know there is a LOT to keep tabs on. Ask us all your process questions and learn how to tighten up your processes to save you time and headaches.

Module Eight: ENVELOPES, CALLIGRAPHY, AND SHIPPING

Ah, the good ol' post office. We love to support them, but sometimes it's not as easy as you think it would be. When you start adding calligraphy, wax seals, bulky items, and vintage postage, things get WEIRD. Envelopes are a part of the process, are they part of your process? Avoid mailing mishaps and ask Laney all your envelope and mailing questions!

Module Nine: THE FUTURE OF YOUR BUSINESS

It's time to start working ON the business, not IN the business. You can do big picture planning even if you're the only person in your business. But is it time to hire? Should you move out of your home office? What's required for you to go to the next level? What's holding you back? No one knows what the future holds, but you can plan for it confidently instead of crossing your fingers and hoping for the best.

I gained the steps needed to get to six figures. I’ve been in the industry for almost 7 years and haven’t hit that annual revenue goal. I was excited to learn from 2 experts that have reached those numbers. I wanted clarity on moving forward and finding my weak/blind spots in my biz.

My biggest takeaway was 100% the mindset stuff. I definitely found value in each lesson, but that is the area I learned the most and found super interesting. + I'm new to stationery, is this for me?

Yes and no. We'd love to have you no matter where you're at in your stationery journey, but please note that the topics and conversations we plan to have are beyond "where do we get that paper." We're happy to answer any questions that come our way, but we really want to focus more on the strategy, mindset, and big picture. Yes, you will learn a LOT if you're just starting out! But there's a chance there may be some missing pieces between day one and day 2000. We don't want to discourage anyone from getting this course by any means, but please be aware that it's intended for people who have an established stationery business. If you buy it as a newbie, we're here to help--the Facebook group will be a good tool to help you fill in the gaps. Nothing is required to join, watch, and thrive (besides payment, of course).

Laney Ruddell

Laney, from Design by Laney, took her experience with a Fortune Top 10 company combined with her passion for art and turned it into a 6-figure stationery business. She has taught thousands of creative entrepreneurs to take themselves seriously and crush the starving artist stereotype. She'll help you get comfortable with all things money-related and create a business that makes sense for your goals - not anyone else's.

Carley Zuercher

Carley started her business her invitation business in 2014 with her mom, but her entrepreneurial journey started much younger. From making jewelry in closet and selling it to friends, to odd jobs around the neighborhood, she was always out to make money. This stationery business was the same. After many starting many "businesses" in her life and throughout college, she got her Bachelor's degree in Entrepreneurship and starter her first LLC. Now, three businesses under her belt, she knows how to make money from a place that feels really good. No more hustling and hoping, just creating with passion and profiting.

As six-figure stationers, they'll tell you that nothing is actually required. You're not missing anything, and there's nothing "all businesses need" besides a good mindset. Yes, we will be talking about paper, profits, and all things business and stationery, but Carley and Laney can also help you re-connect to your business and purpose.
